Thursday, March 3, 2022 /  A Hybrid Event Hosted by Georgia-Pacific

IWF Georgia Held the 3RD Annual International Women’s Day – IWD 2022 Program, Hosted by Georgia-Pacific on Thursday, March 3, 2022.  Below are details of this great event!

IWF Georgia is celebrating the importance of International Women’s Day (IWD) by hosting its 3RD annual International Women’s Day (IWD) program to raise awareness of the condition of women in the U.S. and worldwide. We invite you to partner with us for this year’s event “IWD: Resilience” planned for March 3, 2022. The event is led this year by Ambassador (ret.) Mary Ann Peters, former CEO of The Carter Center, and Grace Jackson, SVP Private Wealth Management for Regions Bank.

Funds raised by your participation will support IWF Georgia in the following ways:
  • Support for IWF Georgia members’ mentoring program for college students majoring in international studies or selected for leadership programs at their universities and a select number of early career women who are employees of the program’s sponsors.
  • Support the admission of a non-corporate rising female leader, nominated by IWF Georgia, into the IWF Global Fellowship Program - a nine-month leadership program.
  • Support powerful programming focused on the status of women world-wide.

As our only external facing event for IWF Georgia, we anticipate approximately 250 attendees for the 2022 IWD program including members, leaders from the greater Atlanta region in business, government, academia community; leaders from metro Atlanta immigrant communities; women Consul Generals in Georgia; IWF members from neighboring states; leaders of IWF Global including the IWF Global CEO and IWF Global Board members from other countries, members of IWF Georgia, and women participating in our mentoring program described below.

Exposure for our partners includes:
Promotion via the IWF Georgia social media pages and website, our sponsors’ employee communications, regional media publicity, and exposure to the IWF Georgia membership via email campaigns, printed materials at preceding events and on-site and virtual branding at the IWD 2022 program.

Program agenda:
IWD 2022 is a hybrid in person and virtual event featuring an update on the status of women globally and in Georgia.  The 2022 IWD theme is:  Resilience - a focus on resilience to meet global and local challenges.

Women are especially vulnerable to cataclysmic events but are also especially resilient in overcoming adverse circumstances. We will showcase women who epitomize resilience in the face of COVID, climate change, upheaval and repression.  We can all learn from their stories.
